Ask Your QuestionWhy measure in pixels instead of characters?
Google cuts titles off by width, not by character count. A title full of wide letters like "W" and "M" is cut sooner than one with narrow letters like "i" and "l". This tool measures the actual width in the font Google uses.
Will Google always show the title and description I write?
No. Google rewrites titles and descriptions when it thinks another part of the page answers the search better. A clear, accurate title that matches the page makes a rewrite much less likely.
What makes a good title and description?
Put the main topic first, in the words people actually search. Make the offer or answer clear, add your brand at the end if there is room, and give the description one concrete reason to click.
